Support Groups

As a psychoterapist in Barcelona, I facilitate two support groups:

  • “Me and Relationships” – for women experiencing difficulties in romantic relationships.
  • Mothers’ Support Group – for women navigating the challenges of motherhood.

Support groups in English for expats provide a safe space to share your experiences and emotions, listen to others’ stories, and receive support in an atmosphere of understanding and acceptance. For expats in Barcelona, they also offer a chance to connect with others who share the experience of building a life away from home, which can bring a strong sense of belonging and understanding.

Participating in a group helps you:
  • realize you’re not alone in your struggles,
  • better understand your emotions and patterns of behavior,
  • exchange experiences and learn practical coping strategies,
  • build a sense of safety, belonging, and acceptance.

Groups meet regularly, offering time to share what matters to you, with the support of the facilitator and fellow participants.

“Me and Relationships” – Support Group for Women

This group is for women who face challenges in building or maintaining romantic relationships. It’s a space to reflect on repeating patterns in your relationships – both the painful ones and those that bring joy and closeness.

In the group, we:

  • explore relationship patterns and the emotions behind them,
  • learn healthy communication and boundary-setting skills.

For women who want to:

  • better understand their needs and emotions in relationships,
  • break free from unhelpful patterns,
  • build healthy, fulfilling romantic connections.

Mothers’ Support Group

A space for mothers to share the everyday challenges of parenting, the emotions that come with them, and the realities of family life.

In the group, we:
● discuss the challenges of motherhood and the emotions connected with them,
● work on strategies for managing stress and feelings of guilt,
● support each other in balancing personal needs with the role of being a mother.

For mothers who want to:
● feel supported and understood by others in a similar situation,
● share experiences and practical ideas for everyday challenges,
● take care of their emotional well-being while considering family needs.

If you’re interested in joining, get in touch and I’ll let you know about upcoming dates. Groups start once enough participants have signed up.
